This is a tech demo that I made as soon as I understood what the heck the flowcharts did. I am currently developing a game in Construct 3 called The Five Course Meal. I'm making it with my little sister and once it or a demo of it is ready I will post that here as well. Anyway, the reason I made this demo is because my game has dialogue but it felt kind of like an empty vessel for our story as there was no input. This just doesn't make sense because as a player I would just want to skip it if I have no influence. So when flowcharts came out I jumped at the opportunity to make an interactive dialogue system for a platformer. What I found though was that most people just made systems where you would click on your selection but that didn't work for me so I came up with this solution. A and D to move left and right, Space to jump, E to talk to NPCs, and R to restart the demo to get different outcomes. This is a video of me explaining the backend of the demo you can also find the download here Flowchart Demo Download. Here's the video tutorial/explanation to understand what the demo is actually doing.
